Hello Resident, There has recently been a speight of parcel thefts in the Ashford area and so I thought it might be helpful to provide some safety advice to reassure local residents: Use a safe delivery spot such as a back door, side gate, or porch box if you have one. Thieves are more likely to steal parcels that are visible from the road. Add a parcel box or lockable drop box so deliveries can be secured immediately.Install a video doorbell or camera. Even the presence of a camera can deter opportunistic theft.Use alternative collection options such as click and collect services at local shops or parcel lockers.Track your parcels so that you know when to expect them Let neighbours know when you’re expecting something, so they can keep an eye out.If you do experience parcel thefts then please contact the police immediately Many thanks |
